The listening in class, no reading, is exactly what I’ve been doing for the past dozen years. And getting similar results as Holly.

I think I understand her more now, plus it makes sense since we already know how smart Alix is.

My SIL was like that, no reading but managed to get a BA by applying BS to written reports and browsing Cliff Notes. Many years later still has no common sense and when it comes to life, dumber than a bag of rocks. To her it must be true if it is on TV or the internet.

Stick to your guns Holly, when you get into cubicle world it will be exactly the same…the better you do, the more work they pile on you. The trick is to be just mediocre enough to be unnoticeable.

If she can come up with a (coined??) word like slack as verb, her intelligence is leaking out whether she wants it to or not!! Val…breathe in and out…slowly!!

Yes lead, innovate, improve on the system, be a nerd/geek you will make better money and be less likely to live in a cubicle.

Yes..I know it’s an old word and I understand the meaning. I should clarify I guess. I was only referring to it being used as a verb. :-)

The types that I know who just listened (if that), didn’t do homework (or turn it in if they did), but got by because of their high GED’s and such, either had Asperger’s or were close to it. The plodders who had to work to learn, generally turned out better.
