A memorial urn of Uggins! Is this what happens to dear old teddy bears if one gets too clingy? Is that all there is to Mister Uggins; not even button-eyes? Ew.

I never thought of Petey as the clingy type.

My brother once performed an appendectomy on his Teddy bear and put the “appendix” in a jar.

Brownie, my first teddy bear, will turn 68 this Christmas. He has had his head sewn back on twice, and is missing one eye (button type – the horrors!), but he still gets a new ribbon tie every year to cover up his scars, and I love him still.

I can definitely see a young Petey clinging to something that gave him comfort when his anxieties acted up.

I have a teddy bear like that. I am 67 years old and I still keep his remains.

I had a stuffed bunny that, I insisted, went EVERYWHERE with me when I was a little rug rat. Mom told me that every time she had to re-stuff him, perform surgery on him, or even just put him through the wash, I would sit next to her or the washing machine until he was recovered. God only knows what became of him.
