When American troops liberating Nazi death camps learned that prisoners wearing the pink triangle on their uniforms were gay, the “liberators” put the gays back into the camps. When the Allied forces created West Germany, they left in place the Nazi era laws against gays.To answer the cartoon, in some cases “we” would not have prevented it. In fact we continued it after we saw it first hand.

That’s part of the liberal mantra: Repeat a lie loud enough & long enough & it will eventually be accepted as the truth by the simple minded. We should never have aligned ourselves with them to fight the Nazis. Just look at the decades of hostility between our two counties that decision lead to.
