    Wait. What was Peekaboo doing outside, anyway? Cats don’t have to go outside to answer a call of nature…

    How many cat skeletons do you see in trees?

    oh so cute… love the “rescue” of Peekaboo …and of those hungry and also “longing for a warm place” squirrels – look how happy they are!

    The occasional sole squirrel that I can catch is not enough, but if that many squirrels presented themselves, I can think of a tasty use for them that would go well with a warm fire.

    I believe all those squirrels came from my place, where I’ve been shooting them with a super soaker for getting on the bird feeder.

    I zap them in the butt with a bb gun. They jump off and then return as soon as I go inside. So I know they are not from my place. :-{

    Cats do NOT like to be out in all weather. Domesticated cats are descended from cats that lived in the Arabian dessert. They belong indoors where they live four times as long as cats who are allowed outdoors and when they are kept indoors they aren’t decimating the native songbird population.

    They did a great job with Peekaboo’s frightened, exhausted expression. I suppose that all those squirrels were gathered in the tree to make fun of her.
