Actually, there was a massive surge of remakes of 80’s TV series. Although, most of them have gone away. On the other hand, one seems to have spawned the next Trekkies.

And to think people use to complain about the .97 price tag of gas back in the 70’s oil embargo.

Re. Glenn Beck’s advice: One might also ask if Mr. Murdock and Mr. Ailes took this advice.

    We complain too much:

http://www.bloomberg.com/visual-data/gas-prices/ “The world’s most expensive gas, according to the survey, can be found in Norway, where drivers pay $10.12 for a gallon of premium gas. While the country has significant oil reserves of its own, instead of using the money to subsidize vehicle fuel it goes to fund social spending such as free college education and national infrastructure.”http://www.haaretz.com/business/israel-gas-prices-ranked-third-highest-in-the-world-1.459475

I want my $0.23 a gallon back, but the tax is now twice that here in my state-total fed and state taxes, but in places like Norway, or New Zealand ($8 a gallon), CONSERVATION is the purpose of higher prices, and it works. Which, Norway is harvesting both North Sea oil, AND heavily investing, and profiting, from WIND energy. New Zealand has to import as it’s reserves don’t amount to much.

Fuel efficient vehicles are available in Europe, but while we’re finally starting to get smart, what we can buy here doesn’t nearly match up, and it’s the oil lobbies, not engineers making the calls.
