    We’re using Guantanamo (our territory granted when we gave them “independence”) so it’s long past time. Just think how many American classic car collectors can go down there and get their parts cheaper!

    I remember back in the 60s my Dad came back from a meeting with his Russian counterpart, who had given him some Cuban cigars — I guess they were in the diplomatic pouch. He was very happy to have them. I thought they stank up the house.

    I can’t believe people are making such a big stink about this. How is Cuba different from, say, China, as far as having diplomatic relations with them?

    Lonecat: had to chuckle, a movie producer we were working with had acquired some of those Cubans and offered us a couple, have to agree, cigars just stink the place up, even when that expensive.
