Michael is very lackadaisical, we know that. However, it seems odd of Elly not to trust Michael with a latchkey to get inside his own family’s house if she is not home. We saw this before in the story arc where Elly was late from work and Michael was standing out in the snow about to freeze into a Creamsicle.

As a former CPS worker, I do cringe at the fact that I was baby-sitting my 2 year old brother for short periods of time when I was 9.
