Hmm, and all that proposed “legislation” folks are complaining didn’t pass, that is actually well, effluent that needs to be fed into the digester. (Think sewer plant digester, not folks accepting what they’ve been “fed”.)
Just add another Senator(from LA) to the Republican tidal wave.Thousands of jobs? Barry doesn’t care because that means more desperate, unemployed voters on his side.
PeaBrain said:“But the environmental devastation and the imminent risk of a leak will be here for decades.”—————————————————————————————Yeah, transporting oil by tanker trucks and trains thousands of miles is much cleaner and safer…..smh.
“Drive much?Missed all those construction zones?”Not around these parts. There was an article in the local paper several months ago about a group of businesses that had chipped in to pay for a section of highway to be redone. It was vital for the expansion of their businesses and because of the constant budget cuts, there was no money for anything more than seasonal road repair. That doesn’t include the thousands of bridges across the country that are long over due for replacement.
Just a note: the pipeline is actually about the LEAST of the problems facing the Ogalalla aquifer, draining, over farming, poisoning with ag chemicals, and other contaminants make a possible leak, small potatoes.

Blaming Obama, even though the bill never made it to his desk? Now that’s lame.

A pipeline also makes a nice stationary target for terrorists to blow up.
