@Nabuquduriuzhur I like the “None of the Above” idea, but I would add that a majority of votes cast be required to win, and if no one wins, a new election is held and the original candidates are ineligible. You couldn’t win by making the other guy look bad – you’d have to be good. Negativity would lead to M.A.D. (Mutually Assured Destruction)

“All it means is that it isn’t even counted.” Not in my state. It would be interesting if the “ignore” vote were counted and publicized widely.
