You’re right, Alix! I was surprised…I thought Holly would have had a crazy gurrl theme! There’s hope for her yet! ;)

Not bad for Holly having a cute room. Holly will like her independence, not sure of Alix.

My son is in the Army, and he gave me a flag that had flown in some desert where was shooting and being shot at. I bought a display case and took them to work, where I had room to fold the flag. I was jokingly asked: “How much did you pay for that?” I replied: " Fifteen years of child support."

“cute” is the WORST justification for anything

Everyone: I suspect 9ChickLuAnnbean might be trolling. Frankly, I can’t find anything to dislike about any character here and I’ve been reading for years, so if he/she dislikes almost all, he/she must have an “interesting” view on life.

Oddly enough considering you swore off children that you feel Wally is a a decent character…he is Lucy’s father and adopted his nephew, Andy and Joan’s son Max. He loves his children. Phil, the motorcycle cop, once mentioned he wanted to marry Val and be a step dad to the girls, but Val said no – still has loyalty to her first husband, the girl’s father who died. Both men are in love with women who have children.

Children, like all other people, come in a wide range of personalities and behaviors. Comic strips tend to emphasize the “snarky” behaviors and moments for humor value. Everyday life, on the other hand, has a balance of snuggly bits, boring bits, fun bits, and misbehavior. What that balance is will depend on the expectations and behavior of the parents and the personalities of the children.

I’m sure any potential kids would feel the same way about you.

I swore off having kids when my mom said to me as a kid “I hope you have kids just like yourself!”

…and it has permanently made me sworn off wanting kids forever..That’s probably a good thing.
