I’ve already seen the pseudo-conservative moral code at work when Mark Sanford was elected after he abandoned his state unannounced to conduct an extramarital affair and after his ex-wife had a restraining order taken out against him due to his breaking into her house.
If you are a republican caught jay-walking, it IS a capital offense. If you are a democrat caught with a gun over a dead body, it’s a misdemeanor. It is called an unbiased media.
