Breezy: Good news, Rip! I found a town just down the mountain! Maybe I can get medicine for your injuries there! Rip Haywire: A gallon of Jim Beam and a bag of leeches are the only medicine I need! Breezy: But we are stranded in the middle of who-knows-where... I could be walking into a badger's nest of trouble, for all we know! You're not going to talk me out of this? don’t worry I tweak it back to look more normal in the strips to come…just pretend it’s Rip’s injury that makes him look weird…yeh that’s what it is…his injury!

We are all used to the old (and better) look. Maybe, Rip looks like this due to losing weight while injured. Yeah. That is it.

Breezy… If you’re going for the position of Mrs. Rip Haywire, you need to get all the experience you can get beforehand.…Just save some of that badger’s nest for Rip. You know he’ll want to play too once he’s all better.
