Its a misconception (especially popular in the USA) that a ‘can do’ attitude is invariably a Good Thing. For people like Jeff, for whom the term ‘SNAFU’ seems to have been invented, it really isn’t.

And that destiny would be disaster…much like Afghanistan…

If only Bush were still President.

Then Jeff would be rewarded.

It is a dark cloud indeed that doesn’t have some silver lining. If Jeff doest get iced doing something stupid, it will be (I think) before he reproduced, therefore improving the gene pool.

I think Jeff is about to get lucky again — and not with a woman.

If your in a hole and you want to get out. the 1st rule is to stop digging.

Jeff’s travails remind me more of Winston Churchill, than GWB. This is a minor setback in the path to glory and greatness. Single mindedness and determination should be enough to carry the day.

As to BOHICA, I just looked it up at the Urban Dictionary site (urbandictionary.com). I used to ask my nephew to tell me all the new acronyms as I came across them, but I haven’t had to do that for a while.

I still say that you can use the Internet to find answers to any question; the only question is, how much you can trust the answers…

At the end of the day I can see Jeff becoming the “Directorate” of the CIA.

They should build a new HQ, whether they need one or not and name it after him.The “J Redfern institute of Espionage”.

I am sure there are those who find the “Jeff Redfern, CIA doofus” thread amusing, but the avoidance of the more unsavory issues swirling around the CIA - things like their complicity in heroin trafficking and torture - is distinctly un-Trudeau-like.

Commerce1943 I think Joe answered your comment. I don’t know any other way to interpret “do you think I’m that dense” as a no. We all have different personalities here and we get on each others nerves from time to time. That’s life. But why such hostility? Why dissect each others postings for hidden meanings? Why such anger when people don’t agree with us or have different viewpoints? We are not all the same and shouldn’t be the same. Biggest “problem” I see with Joe is his rambling. So what! If you don’t like it then skip it. It’s such a soap opera here.
