Linus is a new person: instead of one of the sanest people in the comic, he is now a bawling madman who’s probably more likely to succumb to depression than Charlie Brown.Lucy, I think you may be a bit too interpretive of the meaning of ‘new person’. Or too little.
I don’t know how, when, where, or even why, but I’m fairly certain Linus will be getting his blanket back, and that’s the ONLY thing getting me through this series!
The trash burner is not “on.” There is still hope for the old blanket. However we could have a long session about Linus adjusting to a new blanket so all hope Is not lost. “Whimper”
I had a little second-grade boy I used to tutor, who had a security blanket he often liked to keep with him while he was at home, especially after a rough day at school (he was bullied a lot in school). He had a babysitter while I was working with him. She didn’t think he should have a security blanket. She kept trying to stop him from using it.But I encouraged it. Sometimes, when he’d come home from school looking especially upset, I would tell him to go and get his blanket!(His babysitter and I didn’t always get along.)

Linus may be a new person, but Lucy is still the same ol’ mean sister she always was.

This would be a good time for the Secret Agent Beagle to rescue the blanket from the incinerator.
