Years ago, across the street neighbor locked herself out (had her car keys, but not her house keys) and I had to crawl in through her kitchen window to let her in. Once, my grandmother locked herself out of the house (screen door from kitchen to garage accidentally locked) and a neighbor came in the bathroom window. The bad part of that was she’d locked the dog in. Luckily the dog knew the neighbor and was OK with it.
