ElDo, it can be “cute”, too, without being “cutesy.” The strip is like Alice’s costume specifications when she wanted to be a bat for Halloween. It had to have slavering fangs to strike terror into all who might behold her, but it also had to be pink and fluffy. Mom, when presented with the sketches, said “Horrifying yet adorable? Just like YOU!”
