Thomas: Don't you see?! He's gonna mess everything up... just like he did last time! Huey: Tom... Al Gore didn't lose because of Nader. Al Gore lost because Katherine Harris hired Choicepoint/DBT to illegally block 58,000 from voter polls, claiming they were convicted felons. Turns out 95% of them never committed a felony. That's 55,100 people illegally disenfranchised. Thomas: I just don't want Bush to destroy the world!!! Huey: And speaking of convicted felons losing the right to vote...

Bet if there were any strips running now he’d be blaming all of the US’s woes on Trump and the Russians.

I can’t blame all the county’s problems on any one person or party, but one of the biggest problems we face is inflation. That is the insidious way our government steals from the poor. Many politicians get elected by screaming about some problem that really does need to be worked out. In trying to fulfill their promises, those politicians have found that there isn’t enough money left, because life is a continual stream of problems, and they all cost money. Then they decide to print more money, so that they can spend some, too. Since they are controlling where it goes but not how it is spent, quite a bit gets wasted or misappropriated. Most of their “problems” have been addressed, and whether solved or not, the money has been spent. Too much of it went into fat bonuses at the top of the food chain, but that’s another story. Many will start screaming that that’s the GOP, but ’tain’t so. That’s just politicians, whatever label they’re wearing right now. They are very good at arranging brother-in-law deals. You ever notice that every experienced politician (and TV preacher) is stinkin’ rich? Back to inflation. They printed more money, so something that had cost $100 is suddenly $110 at least, and usually $130 or $200, because several other people wanted their share. Remember that TV you were going to buy this week? Maybe next month. Your daughter is going to college? Maybe junior college, if she lives at home. You were going to retire to a house at the lake? Have you priced those things lately? Maybe I can work another five years. Hmmm… That’s the carrot. I think we need another hand on the stick.

There was also that county where Bush got More Votes than there were Registered Voters.
