It’s “there are a lot,” not “there’s a lot.” It would be nice if McGruder used correct grammar and diction to make his point. Not only would he convey a moral lesson, he’s set an good example to pupils and students of English. As it stands, he gives the impression that he’s poorly educated and not quite literate.
