Why do ultra conservatives especially have to be so very nasty and attack others instead of coming up with reasonable debating positions? And the economy (while not improving as much as most of us would like) is still far better than the last administration left it in 2008!!

There are so many people between the president and myself who are failing to do their damn jobs and move people up in society.

The President may have been on the stick, but the Congress and Senate were responsible for making sure the train was well maintained and would arrive on time. Both parties have failed the American people and we’re just sitting around waiting for them to do something. A businessman is quoted as having said, “It’s amazing what can be done if you don’t care who gets the credit.”Neither party will do anything unless they can get all the credit they think they deserve, whether they deserve it or not.Respectfully,C.

This tune would be a little more accurate if it depicted Obama off the train, with tool-box in hand, attempting to fix the damage, whle Georgie & Boehner are behind the bushes laughingat him.

The president sets the agenda. That is why he gets the blame.

Liberal insult: “You’re wrong about that.”Conservative insult: “You stupid ****!”

(This is, of course, a very mild example.)

But this is recovery summer, so the economy should be roaring by September.

Thanks to "W"’s policies, my IRA lost 80% of it’s value in just a few days. It’s back into the plus side of the equation again. The stock market (some, even Republicans, consider it an economic indicate for the nation’s condition) is at record high levels, as are corporate profits and CEO salaries. Obama has proven to be a much better Capitalist and economic conservative than "W"’.

It’s laughable that you think the “loony left” worship Obama. The “LL” (of which I am a proud member) can’t stand Obama because he is much too conservative. Of course, in your world, anyone to the left of Hitler is a communist,

Texas has done so well at “creating” jobs because the state has cannibalized jobs from other states. Low corporate tax rates and no pollution controls nor laws governing workplace safety means that some employers won’t opt for sweatshops in China, and will set up sweatshops in Texas instead.

And in return, Texas will teach its children that slaves were really indentured servants, that Thomas Jefferson is just a historical footnote, and that Hop on Pop is the height of English literature. And there are more uninsured people in Texas by far than any other state.

Texas is gaining jobs while becoming Third World. There is true cause and effect there. I look forward to the success of their secession efforts.

Can’t be Obama’s fault. Everyone now knows that the President can’t control the economy, right libs? Besides, he is the Messiah and the Messiah only does good things.
