Only seen the movie in a theater once in my life. Uptown during my year of graduate school. A midnight showing, IIRC. Sat in the back so I could see the flick (and make a quick escape after it finished). People were sitting so close to the screen they could look up Ringo’s nose — were it not for the cloud they were producing in the front of the theater (apparently, more than a few thought the only way to enjoy the flick was totally toked up). Just about the time the real Beatles showed up on screen at the end of the flick, the cloud of grass smoke made it to the back of the room. I managed to sit through the end of the film and some of the credits before I had to leave if I didn’t want a contact high.
