    Miss Phelps just couldn’t stand seeing that one nose hair sticking out, that swayed back and forth, each time the air conditioner kicked in…..

    And so we come to the close of the first of two Fogarty Flashback weeks promised us by Greg.The scissors-incident reminds me of something that happened to me a long time ago, when I was traveling in a remote area overseas, wearing a somewhat tattered jacket. Suffice to say, that as we enjoyed hospitality in her small dirt-floored, chicken-shared house, a kind old lady got her scissors and cut off my tail—that is, a bit of torn jacket-hem that was dangling at the rear….

    Whaaaa? I thought there would be a “even though you hate teaching us we just want to say ‘good luck we love you, are those tears Mr Fogarty?’” strip today. —There…there won’t be another week of this, will there? SOB….

    This reminds me of when I was in Nepal and came down from trekking in the Himalayas. I was getting a $4 shave, haircut, and massage at a barbershop in Kathmandu. The local barber was wielding his scissors. Snip. Snip. I thought, “Did he just trim my nose hairs?” And so he had. At that for $4.

    @Torad07 & ORMouseworks:

    “Tahiti…it’s a magical place” is a reference to the Agents of SHIELD TV series and an ongoing mystery from the first half of the season. The lead reflexively said that line whenever his R&R in Tahiti was mentioned.(Avoiding spoilers)

    Does Miss Phelps have a berette in her hair, or is that a prototype scrunchy? If the latter, is she really the inventor who patented her invention and now makes $.01 for ever flock (card) of them sold? (Most are fluffy, so flock is more fun to say)

    And over 100 comments yesterday! Even with a tired strip. * And Levi’s gone AWOL as well! Anyone know his whereabouts? Hope he’s not caught in the fires. Heard they’re letting some people go back home— let’s keep up our prayers for them until the fires are all out!

    Now that they’re over, it seems that this week’s strips are not so much about what a terrible teacher F was, how he could not motivate his students, or how much he hated his job. Rather, they’re about his choice of recall. *There were obviously very many good memories as well, but he chooses to dwell on the negative. Maybe P will teach him CBT, and he’ll learn to retrain his mode of thinking.

    Evans has wasted TWO WEEKS on this Fo-getty cr*p just so he could promote the luanncomic.com web site. when he could have been giving us more from the prom arc.Reader satisfaction is apparently not something Greg cares about.

    Important! Click on the “Fogarty Flashback” above the strip and follow through until mid-February. I, at least, had not realized their relationship had gone that far! And F was willing to leave his job, but didn’t— why?

    Yeah, I remember that one! Gilligan and that “crazy mop hair”! LOL!!! -A more recent SNL (with Amy Poehler) had a parody skit of the 70s variety shows, and AP was dressed as “Granny Crabtree”. They told her she sounded like the “Beetles”.. She said, “Really?” and they said: “Not the group, the bugs!”

    Try to the right. I was just guessing left. Unless it’s the sign that says “You are here”. Like in the mall. By that time, you’d just have to make it up as you go…..
