A week later, the young man is in a car wreck with an uninsured driver that leaves him permanently disabled but because of the ACA, he’ll have health care and retraining to help him cope with his disability. How many people have paid for car insurance all of their lives and never once had to use it? How many homes have been legally required to have insurance but never had to use it?The ACA is definitely a flawed bill that needs politicians able to work together to fix it and make it the world class product the USA used to produce. Sadly, with SCOTUS deciding that money limits in political races is unconstitutional, the Citizen’s United ruling, and the widening income gap between the wealthy, middle class, and poor, it is unlikely that good legislators will be chosen. And even if they are, new laws effecting elections make it more difficult and even more intimidating for voters to register and vote. There are better ways of doing things, but we cannot do them if we are shouting and insulting instead of taking turns communicating.Respectfully,C.

Ever ask yourself why people are getting so sick that we need to spend 1/6th of GDP on health care?

Don’t the forget the 17 trillion in debt the baby boomers racked up. The younger generation will be paying the interest on it for the rest of their lives.

We are the only developed country that does not have a medical care system that covers everyone. Our medical costs are among the highest and our quality of care is not stellar. Maybe we will catch up with the rest of the modern world one of these days. Then we can work on schools and infrastructure.

Inre panel four, Son can thank President Johnson, plus subsequent presidents and congresses for dipping into the Social Security funds to pay for the Great Society, and many other pet programs. That’s why S.S. is low on cash.

I’m getting close to SS myself. Kid, it’s only fair – my parent’s generation ripped me off too.
