Let me be the first to say it: FLASK!!!!

I don’t really think so, but it would be a real twist to the story.

Aside from the ceramics wars yesterday, someone mentioned it was odd that the stones(?) falling on the transport yesterday were more rounded than sharp. Panel1 looks like a bridge or trap fell, or seeing Panel4 may have been deliberately dropped on our intrepid explorers. Panel4: Something Wicked This Way Comes? Nah, I don’t think this is Aaron Marx, he is IMO, more of a Trickster Yeoman, he said he is a Trickster second class, and he like the others will grow in time. But I just feel Aaron Neathery will use him very sparingly. Remember to support our 21st Century Bard (I hope I am not treading on Kellogg’s 21CF – Kathy knows how to drop me a PM At CTC if I am and keep her email secret – or she could use this as an intro to plug Carry On and 21CF). Vote, buy books, buy merchants, or just go to the auction site and choose prints to purchase and give that DONATE button a workout. Sincerely & Respectfully Hoping to stay on Topic,

    JusSayin

Oh, awfulness! Sarah isnt looking good at all! wally and Jim not much better.

This is the m other of all cliff hangers. Hope the guys will come to soon, what with a stranger looming just outside!!I was in a car accident where it knocked me out for probably less thana minute but when they asked me if I passed oUt I said No. But I remember getting hit, then the next thing I knew my car was facing the opposite direction. The bag probably caused it. There was what seemed like smoke. it turned out. To be some chemical In the airbag that was a bit caustic.

I don’t think whatever it is is necessarily large. I think it’s an issue of perspective. Someone human sized is approaching the transporter and is simply much closer than the background peaks. ;-)

I must confess, when I first saw the sillouette the name Philomena did pop into my head, but I don’t see how that could be possible. ;-)

Looks like the mouth of a cave to me. Follow the wave lines behind the black. Seems the point of one large wave broke off.

Melkior has hit on my first guess. It looks like a hole in the fabric of reality. If it were a human, then they’d have to be very close to the transporter and if they were that close, I’d expect to see details (face, clothing ect…). Thus it seems to be something very far in the distance, big enough to block out the mountains. That or its dittos.

The figure is right outside the window. What looks like ground spikes in the foreground are actually shards of window glass. The figure looks like it’s wearing a hooded robe. Some survivor of the End, like Sparkplug, who’s been living alone for six years and has some story to tell of his or her hermitage.

Hooded figure or someone with long hair. Fairly tall, at least by mutant standards. For some crazy reason I found myself thinking Sam from “Ed Deadeye”. The fact that I can’t make out a face, hair or any other details bugs me. The transporter’s interior is lit and if the figure is human size, it would have to be close enough that the light from the transporter should be illuminating the face and features. Strange.

The silhouette in panel 4 is not entirely inconsistant with Flask in her Duchess costume. The cape that goes with the hood would conceal her hourglass figure.

    http://endtown.sherri-alexander.com/comic/endtown-10-18-2012/

The rub is that if it were Flask, she would be close enough to the vehicle that the light would be revealing her most statuesque figure. The fact that we see no details suggests that we are much farther away.

Not to seem contrary, for we have some very insightful commentators here, but it IS nighttime outside and with the PT temporarily OOC I wouldn’t expect much exterior lighting. So it seems reasonable that someone approaching the vehicle would be difficult to make out. Just my 2 cents… ;-)

The again, maybe it is Flask, and Holly is hallucenating (sp?). Similar to the time Wally inserted her into his dreams about the teacher assassination. Anything’s possible at this point…. ;-)

I think it is a March Hare. I don’t see any brim for a Hatter, and it is March. Or, it could be the Queen of Hearts. Clive’s good, but the other four, well, the other TopSiders were going to do that anyway. If I made typos I’m leaving them in. It took me four or five tries to get my post on Mars, The Bringer of War finally readable.Curiously, JusSayin

RL: A Gun that Knows Who is Shooting it:

    Smart Gun

We still don’t know if the zero-guns Jim and Sarah(Smile!), have will work for them after mutation. If they would, Holly and Wally and Jim and Sarah,(aside: No, I wouldn’t want to see that movie), could return to Endtown and restore justice and freedom from terror of a crazed bunny’s shock troops and reign of terror. No, not yet. Holly and Wally have to get through this barrier, maybe find out how it happened to be there, if it really is, because while I think the dittos have some loyalty or something to Wally and Holly, they might have suspicions of our new couple. And after getting along, Holly and Wally need new exposition to bring the story to a new book, with a change in combatants, or mutual alliances.

I could be wrong, but they could all stumble into a tea party. I haven’t heard complain about dying yet, like PT Petey was when they found him. He did complain about arthritis, could that be a lack of grease, a burning out bearing or a shock or strut that needs service the self repair module can’t or won’t address, or is it something like phantom limb syndrome, because some part of the brain isn’t wired just right? If a transport had phantom limb syndrome, it could be rough if his entire body was missing, but maybe it is a shadow of a memory of his previous life, like someone suggested earlier. Tune in after midnight, USA-CDT, and maybe we’ll have some of these questions answered. Or maybe we’ll cut back to Endtown, where the Resistance is coming together. Nah, that would be dramatis interruptus_. Morning All, we still haven’t heard from DirtyOldLady1 lately. I hope she is okay. By the way, for those of us who don’t know who Steve Gallacci is, he drew SurfStuff55’s avatar, which I can see better over at the Doc Rat CrossTimeCafe. Just scroll down and click on the link at the Doc Rat site of Jenner’s Doc Rat personna playing on the computer. He has done lots of other stuff, but someone else can explain that better than I could. I could not find his Endtown drawings at deviant art, but his blog says he has done some.Remember to vote, see LevelHead’s links, and support Aaron and His’n anyway you can. Sincerely and Respectfully, JusSayin

I’ve got it!!! A hooded figure in the great waste…Who could it be but…Obiwan Kenobi!!!Once he gets into the transporter, he’ll kneel down and check out Sarah and then muse that the great wastes are not to be traveled lightly.

I think some of this is the pixels. maybe not Wally’s pixiels, but free-ranging or feral pixels. My earlier comment about blacking out, or losing conscienceless, was just about how dis- ordering it can be. all the comments are interesting and some my have hit on what DID happen and who or what that is. this group of commenters has to be some of the most intelligent and interesting of any other posters on the comics. thanks for being here and giving so. Much food for thought.

It strikes me as not so much an object or being as simply a void, not unlike the Black Thing in A Wrinkle in Time, a mass and miasma of nothingness and annihilation.
