Give a few shots of WD40 to the top of the feeder. The next time and they will slip right off before they reach the food.

We used to put Vaseline on the pole that supported our bird feeder. Very amusing to watch the squirrels try to climb and just sliiiiiiiiide down. Then they learned to leap from the ground to the feeder.

If it would have been the mangy cat she would have said, “Aww, isn’t that cute!”

We had bird feeders, until my wife found a rat stuck in one.

Funny, I thought that God fed the birds and the squirrels.

I bought a squirrel-proof bird feeder after a local stray cat took out my old feeder trying to catch a bird. Nothing funnier than watching a squirrel scrambling to get a grip on a metal sheet before sliding to the ground. Just as good as when some big, mean bird frightens off the little ones just to find that the perch is weight sensitive and lowers, thereby denying access to the seed.

Okay, so here’s my idea – The size of most of the “dogs” I’m seeing these days and the obvious intelligence of these squirrells – Maybe we have a new kid of pet?

If you think squirrels are a problem around bird feeders, try putting out a bird feeder in bear country….

220 volts takes care of them too without harming the birds.

220 Volts? You sure about that. Probably 110 Volts don’t you agree?
