Ahem, Ellie’s getting a tad buxom………letting herself go.

I’ve seen aprons with the Road Kill Cafe menu. Don’t remember any dishes, but their slogan was about being “fresh off the grille”.

Couple NPR items from years back: State-sponsored roadkill cooking classes in Alaska (aimed at low-income people); and an interview with the author of a field guide to roadkill, It included a chapter on truck parts, and he gave this description of a rat that had been run over by a truck: “It looks kind of like a rat and kind of like a map of Norway.”

To my mother-in-law, the funniest bit on “Newhart” was when the Minuteman Cafe donated a “Critter of the Day” dinner to a library auction. “What’s Critter of the Day?” “We don’t know yet – Darryl hasn’t been out to the highway yet.”

Why did Jonas put on a shirt?
