Reminds me of the commercial that spoofed Soviet fashion:The same baggy shapeless dress on the same baggy, shapeless model: Day Vearrr: With a flashlite: Night Vearrr; with a float ball: Beach Vearr….
I just tried on this old dress (1995) and the petticoat in low flounce is better, but I’d have to take the waist in now. I have no place to wear so much sequins right now (main dress has spaghetti straps and white iridescent pallets on the bust). I’d still wear it with the bolero which is same sequin lace as the skirt. Right now it’s almost as baggy on me as the cartoon one.
Just checked- was 1991. I was not working out back then (and made a wedding cake and meal for 70 that day) and I never wear spanx type stuff (uncomfortable).
