Although “Santa Claus” , derived from the Dutch Saint Nicholas was originally white, it would seem that a black version would be a good way of promoting inclusion among African American children. Not too much different than depicting Jesus as a lovely Italian Catholic boy when, in actuality, he likely bore more of a resemblance to Yasser Arafat….
