I have a headache, I was hit over the head with today’s strip. Andy looks disgusted and he should look perplexed. Do the trio not know how to draw perplexed? Guess not.

Not many comments yet today. Everyone must have had a wonderful time at #3’s birthday party yesterday.Looks like Andy is ‘rum dumb’ today.

A Benny Hill skit: A man walks into a place, holds up a sign that reads “This is a bank robbery.” The other man holds up a sign that reads “This is a fish shop.” That was funny, and had action. This one has no action (Andy’s hands are in the same peculiar position in the first two panels, and only his closed mouth is different. He should at least move back in his chair at the effrontery of being told that his drinking is somehow or other a problem!) This one has no humor, either.

Repeat from late yesterday:-Gilda Radner AKA Rosanne Rosanna Danna sadly died at age 43 in 1989 from ovarian cancer. She was married to Gene Wilder.

Gweedo (Free Range Dry) Murray said, about 16 hours agoI use ‘hon’ once in a rare while; even have addressed my one aunt who I have not heard from for a spell, with that line. Hope she is not hospitalizing.. -They had some characters in those early Saturday Night Live days. During the early years of MAD Tv I would sometimes switch over to SNL, and it was such a pale imitation of former glory.-Our trip to VA went okay. The parking was completely full on all seven levels. We creeped our way to the top, then creeped back down looking for an opening. Found a space that someone was pulling out of and promptly filled it. Good thing too ! The 44 oz. coke I was ‘holding’ was getting impatient. Ed was concerned that the loss of vision he is slowly getting in the right eye is starting to happen in the left eye. A big blow as he is an avid reader. The doc told him he didn’t have to worry about going blind. Still, when you can;t read text or drive your car…. They gave him drops on the eyeballs and that made his eyes very sensitive. No sunglasses and I offered to let him borrow the ones I was wearing. -I don’t think the oven is so old. It cooks fine, just the table that rotates the food wasn’t…………. rotating. The $31.42 cent motor took care of that. That’s how we usually do our money in text format. -Glad your B-day is going well. I’m a big fan of ‘monkey’ business, especially when this monkey is involved ! -Wishing you a titillating Tuesday.________________________________________________How is Esther doing? Hope she is improving.-Glad everything went well at the VA hospital. Was the car park nearly full? I’m glad I don’t have a car just yet. I’ve been thinking about taking driving lessons but I back off after hearing horror stories about car crashes, full parking spaces and traffic jams. I have very little confidence so I wouldn’t trust me to drive a car just yet. At least I can drive in my dreams.-I remember you telling me before about Ed’s loss of vision. It’s nice of you to go with him to appointments.-Mum comes with me to my blood donations but I go for my check ups at the doctors on my own now. -My birthday was wonderful… Thanks to all of you.-Happy Tuesday!

I bought myself an early Christmas present day, four more Andy Capp paperbacks at the used book place to add to my collection! (Which is over twenty by now, trailing only Peanuts.) I also bought a Pogo collection. I’ll have a hard time waiting ‘til Christmas to read them but I’ve heard that patience is a virtue, and since I’ve never had any virtues before, it might be time to try one…….@Number Six and Mikey jYou’d both be a huge improvement over these current louts! Have you two ever thought of collaborating on a cartoon or two?@BuggerlugsI’ve often thought that “Pogo Minus Art” would be a success, just the disembodied speech balloons from certain of the Sunday strips. Walt Kelly just had so much flavor to his writing!

Mahoney never has to draw anything any more it can all be cut and pasted from previous strips. Kelly used to spend hours drawing one daily strip. G&G once in a great while do come up with a good joke. Nobody compares to Walt Kelly.

@Mikey jExcellent redo, as always. I’m assuming that “Nasty Bank” is from “National Bank” or am I way off here?@EldoNo scanner, unfortunately, because I’d love to post a few classics now and then. Of the ones I bought today, the newest was 1982, the oldest 1965, but none in 1967-1970. (Of course some of the ones I have in the basement would qualify, but once again, no scanner, sigh.)
