Not sure what’s funnier in P3: Tip’s response or the fact that Gil appears to have both a right arm and a right flipper.

Tip uses Pascoe’s back as a vaulting horse and sticks the landing for the TD

Final game of the season (I hope) against his biggest rival, final minutes of the game, and Gil turns to a guy with no experience to improvise a play. What has happened to Gil? He used to be a good coach who had his teams prepared. Now he’s visiting peacocks, putting cheerleaders in the game, wrestling senior citizens — he’s out of control.

The hitting is fierce. Looks like a severed arm underneath #51 in P2.

Like the Wildcat. Doyle Dane, Ransom, The Peacock and Gramps, this major accident involving Chip and Hamani will fade away. Once again, win or lose, no playdowns. However, much like The Cosby Kids, we readers take away the valuable lessons of life.

“John Pascoe and the Troys” sounds like a Doo-Wop band from the sixties. Throw in Tip Nunn’s comedy routine and we’ve got a return to the variety shows of yesteryear. Marty Moon would be a natural for the emcee.

In all reality, after Tips remark to Gil , Gil loses it and has a breakdown and is lead away to the Merry Milford Mental Institution sobbing I used to be a respected coach. With the team in disaray, Big John in a booming voice says Alright Men Huddle Up Victory Is Ours.

It’s a wonder Gil can keep his balance on those tiny feet.

What insubordination — the kids didn’t used to talk to Gil like this.

Wow, it’s almost as if Valley Tech knew they were going to run a keeper. Of course since that was Hayes’ 65th carry of the game, maybe it isn’t that amazing.Since the Mudlarks are already out of the playdowns, this guarantees that Gil’s brilliant upcoming trick play will work. If winning the game would have put them in then they’d get stopped on 4th down for sure.

I hope he runs the barking dog play. Tip would be perfect. Or does that only work in basketball?

Yes, coach. I have money riding on Valley. It’d be like cheating if I actually played in the game.
