D’ja Ever Notice reminds me of “They’ll Do it Every Time.”

I’m looking forward to seeing how this evolves through the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s, to become what it is today. Is the change into the software company gang we know and love today gradual or abrupt?

After a second look at these from the 1950’s, I can see that Rita, Dana, and Roy are getting closer to strip characters I know from the contemporary strips. Is that an early version of Jay in the “Did’Ya Ever Notice” strip?

The little sight gas were a regular feature, but this is the only panel Malcolm provided from his archives that really used them. The woman with the paper, I believe, is Sue. That must be King Kong on the building, and I seem to see a balloon man being carried away by his inventory.

That it will. By the 1950’s, it took a leap forward into a whole new look.
