You’ll regret it Snoopy.

Judging by his belly, Snoopy can probably safely skip a day.

Tomorrow is gonna be a long day.

Yeah, Snoopy, be glad you ate it now. Canned dog food that sat out overnight? Eeew! Crusty and gross.

He did the right thing. By tomorrow that other dog food would be stale, dried up and decaying, if it wasn’t already.

There are some dogs that are free eaters. You put down food and they eat when they’re hungry and leave the rest for later. It works with dry food, probably not canned. My first dog was like this, then discovered WHY they become devouring fiends when I got my second dog.

My cats would never eat hours old canned food. but my dog will pick stuff (such as burned squash!) out of the compost pile if allowed,

Charlie should have put the bowl of food out right before he left home.

A cat will eat what it wants and leave the rest to later. A dog will eat until all the food is gone even it it dies doing it. I seen first hand a dog that tried to eat a whole 50lb bag of dog food. It was not a nice thing to see at all.

Did anyone notice the can opener Charlie is using?Did anyone have one of these?.\\//_

You’re gonna regret doing that when tomorrow comes, Snoopy.

Well, I guess he’ll starve tomorrow. Unless Charlie Brown comes back early. I wonder where he’s going.

I wonder why Charlie Brown didn’t teach Sally, Or why he doesn’t have a dogsitter, Or why his parents don’t offer to feed Snoopy. Weird.

It’s like that candy in my drawer that keeps calling my name and telling me how delicious it is and how much I want it!

I used to give my poor old girl her food sometime during the day. She’d eat a little as if to acknowledge my effort but not be in a mad rush to gobble it down. Then at night, after we’d all gone to bed I’d hear her pad out to the kitchen and then the rattle of her tags against her food dish. In the morning the bowl had been licked clean. I miss that silly old girl.

Not all dogs are gobblers. My sister had a Westie that was a grazer. He would eat a little here and there. You could leave his food out for days. When they got a couple cats, the cats would sometimes paw out a piece from his dish and bat it around until it went under something they could not reach, but they never ate it. He seemed to be amused by watching them bat the food around. He knew there would always be more.
