I’ve never understood make up……lipstick is just plain gross…..

Back in the mid 1970’s when I met my wife, makeup was not in style for us hippies. My wife has never used makeup. Never needed it.

Make up is what happens after a disagreement.

Nice Arlo! Too much make up actually ages us faster. I only wear it on rare special occasions. The only thing I use daily is lip gloss.

Sending lots of love to the guys in these comments who obviously know the worth of woman without make up. I, too, grew up without feeling the need for lots of glop, so when I go “fancy” all I generally use are mascara and a bit of shadow. (And Arlo, I hope she really hears you!)

Women wear makeup for the other women. It’s expected. If they think it attracts men they deceive themselves.

One’s permanent

My wife has a twin sister who takes about an hour putting on her make up in the morning, my wife may put a little lipstick on. I have been around these two for 49 years and can truthfully say my wife has no need for make up , her sister on the other hand…….l

You want to see bad make-up. go to high school where the girls are still practicing with it. I think some girls go goth just because they don’t know how to use eye shadow.

I own those wrinkles, too, Honey. I helped put them there. So did our children. The little smile lines around your eyes and the worry lines, too. They are not just who you are, they are who we are and who we have been. I love you and I love those wrinkles, too.

Keep wearing lipstick and you will be fine Janis.

The only makeup I put on is a razor blade.

Actually, my husband says that to me all the time. So all I put on now is a little eye liner and mascara. And of course, moisturizer with SPF to protect the lovely face from the burning sun! ;)

After all these years….maybe Janis isn’t as HOT as we think she is. We’ve ONLY seen her “made-up” face.

Married 27 years and I doubt I’ve seen my wife with makeup on a dozen times. And she’s not a hippie either. Love that woman!
