You have to explain everything to these guys, I guess…

Rats: “If it wasn’t for us, you guys would never get out of Endtown properly! Now, take the hostage and get it right this time! Jeez…”

They should take all the rats and make an army.

“Now, to make it really convincing, we need you to pull out the pin.”

“NOW why are we stopping?”

“I just realized… Why would you let us go when we get to the top? We could have someone go after you with the Krupp as soon as we got back…”

“Yeah… Unless you take the Krupp with you. Then we’d never catch up to you!”

“Ummm… okay…”Later…“Good, we’re finally rid of them. Let’s go back down. Gimme the keys.”

“I, uh, left them in the car…”

This is not when I usually wake up. Not awake enough to know if they are going to go with the or refuse to let them go..

Methinks Wally is going to bare those claws ere long.

So you bring him down, he still has the grenade and is now close enough to be a threat, you put them back up, they are no longer dangerous, so you bring ’em down again.. worse than yo-yo dieting!

Endtown security seems to, more or less, be using our intrepid heroes more for a P.R. stunt than anything, trying to come off as brave, necessary, and, perhaps, ultimately victimized.

Give ’em a surprise. Use the dittoes to disappear and let them find the elevator empty.

This delay is so it can create a suspense on a Friday.

Rodent logic hurts my head.

I like the display on the control screen. Topside has clouds. I remember Allie talking about downpours but clouds is at least a suggestion of moisture in the air. Moisture is present so there must be abundant water. The other is the elevator profiles. You can see the path they take through the rock strata.Obviously the Rats figured it out. They have the grenade safely locked in the elevator so WHY continue to send them to the surface. That would be what their “supervisors” would say. So two things. The deal is off OR they bring them back to take a “hostage” probably Ted to make it look good.Of course all this is probably recorded on the security cameras so the whole thing is going to look so Hollywood it has got to be funny. Maybe not as funny as Wally’s “personal” inspection on arrival at Endtown but it is pretty funny. Ted and his bud will probably get Oscar mentions for their performance in a Comedy.

maybe the rats will choose the one on their own group even they cant stand and push him/her with them

The heat at lower depths is generated through pressure in the rock. Different densities of rock can generate different temperatures at different depths. At one mile or lower, you do need an air cooling system of some kind. But, since Endtown is under a lot of dust, the pressure through the rock into the colony would be lower than normal.
