That’s the way I am, just about each day!… Coincidentally, the first three letters of my wife’s name and mine spell out “SeaJam”!… and every anniversary, it’s Crab Cake, Fries, Slaw and Tea! As a matter of fact, our sumptuous “island feast” will be in two and a half weeks!…

I remember an episode like this on “the Cosby Show”, where poor Cliff was trying to enjoy what people today refer to as a “staycation”….. he camped out in his living room, and made sure everybody knew that there was an “invisible barrier” that they were not to cross, and he had on his vacation gear, and his own ukulele, and his bubble blowing set to add to his “vacation experience”… he really tried to emphasise: “no problems allowed!”, Lol!…

Clever way of having a beach party when Ma Nature isn’t cooperating.

You know, there’s a lot of anger over what amounts to a cartoon of a pretty lady in a bathing suit. I think a lot of you need to go outside and get some fresh air. It’ll do you good, I promise.

I know, I know – Don’t feed the trolls. But isn’t your ax getting ground down pretty far?

Don’t be so prudish. Both Bible verses and science suggest that male-female physical attraction is normal. And I don’t see what shark attacks have anything to do with skimpy bathing suits.

Yeah, and he can re-arrange the scenery anytime he feels like it, Lol!

I’m surprised at the negativity in the comments section these days. Just because it used to be more friendly in the discussions here between readers. I hope for civility here.Everyone has an opinion, and when you have 57M readers and have been doing this for 30+ years (syndication and books) you get used to not everyone enjoying what you do. It’s part of it! No one has every reader as a fan. But I also always appreciate the positive comments. I continue to love doing what I’m doing, and am grateful to my readers. I can only make the comic strip an honest representation of who I am, what I find funny, or heart warming…and draw as best I can. Thanks to our worldwide readership….we now have more readers than five years ago, which is really something when we think of the newspapers that have vanished. I am nothing but grateful. Thanks, folks.
