I think she prefers the learning, not the supplies and back-to-school clothes.

Nothing really surprises me. Giving children something to look forward to.

Today for our public schools students meet teachers. For Wednesday is first day of class here in KS.Me I have been applying for work nothing. Me I have paid for on-line classes and bought my text books and on-line classes start Thursday. Not sure how much I will be commenting.

Girls get used to idea of school starting. For SS when is the first day of class?

Dear somebody…, Biscuit is only ‘chiming in’ because there will be fewer people at home to pay attention to her(Grandma). Joan, Alix and Holly will be gone all day.

When I was a child, I really loved school but did not want to go back at the end of the summer. I think it was because I loved summer so much.

I love back-to-school (even as a kid). To me, it marks the beginning of a new year, not Jan 1.

I recall talking my firstborn through the mall many years ago for school shopping. I was all excited about the new clothes, notebooks, and whatever. In Sears she gritted her teeth and growled, “This is terrible!” She always was the fun-lover.

Back-to-School ads….YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Except when I was in college…I actually looked forward to buying books and supplies and a new pair of jeans or two (but, oh the sticker shock!). Maybe it was because I was going to learn something relative to my adult life. ;)

I thought Alix and her sisters’ school went with UNIFORMS?

My kids always liked going to buy the school supplies. Not that they liked school that much, just the shopping! LOL! They got good grades, though.

I remember those “Back to School” ads myself. Of course, I eventually got used to middle school once I started. (Plus, the fact that I got braces and wore them for two years until I got them off when I was fourteen was pretty neat, too.) Of course, I eventually graduated from middle school and went on to high school.. :)
