From my own warped, sad, limited point of view—do such considerations merit a concern measured against what the overrwrought , libidinous ears and over ambitious digingus suggest— We are looking at two fallible men fell into when a raging dingus blasted to stupid null good works, thoughts and potential!! Suck stupidiy and spit back sound policy for the good of us all!!!! RAD

You forgot Mark Sanford of North Carolina.-Oops, I forgot: It’s okay if a Republican does it.

I’ll go out on a limb here. Among the Nazi propaganda were , I think, movie reels showing rats coming out of a sewer and comparing them to Jews. If Weiner and Spitzer are both Jewish then Nate may be interpreting the ’toon as bringing that back up.

Sanford is not from NY, brainy. Stay with the toon for once. You ignore his point. It’s not about location. It’s about hypocrisy. All three fell from grace because of sex scandals. Weiner tweeted a picture of him in his underpants to another adult. Sanford left the hemisphere to spend time with his mistress and later had a restraining order placed against him after breaking into his now ex-wife’s house. Sanford was voted back into office by the so called family values party. The cartoon is complaining that these two are also making a political comeback. Why was Ariail silent on Sanford’s comeback and not these two?

I’ve never commented here before and I’ll probably regret it, but some of you make the most uninformed and ignorant- or is it stupid?- comments on my cartoons. I have drawn literally scores of cartoons on every aspect of Mark Sanford’s fall from grace and return to office(naturally, because I live and work in SC.) Sure, there is a Sanford connection to Spitzer and Weiner and I have a toon coming up on that. But this one is on the New Yorkers and what despicable rats they are. And that both are Jews (though I doubt they are active in their faith) has no bearing on the point being made here. Nate9279’s accusations are spurious and complete BS considering the context.

Those who say the left are “silent” about Spitzer and Weiner have not listened to the left. They are not being the least bit silent. You’re just assuming they’re behaving the same as the flacks on the right, and that’s never true. I don’t hear anything from the right about the far worse sins of Governor Ultrasound McDonnell and Ken Cuccinelli of Virginia, who sold their offices for cash… Mark Sanford, returned to congress… David Vitter (who, unlike Wiener, is still in congress even though his prostitution scandal was an actual crime…)

If these 2 had been republicans they would never felt compelled , or be forced out of office. That is the only difference. mainly politicians are notorious for not keeping their junk where it belongs.

“I notice you were silent about Spitzer.Yet such a strong condemnation of Sanford.”Spitzer had an affair, but at least he didn’t leave the continent without telling his staff. Still, my post didn’t condemn Sanford. I only pointed out the facts and what I perceive as hypocrisy on the part of so called conservatives. Mark Sanford’s affair, and his restraining order are between him and his ex-wife. The fact that he abandoned his state without notice to his staff to visit his mistress on another continent is between him and his then constituents. It doesn’t affect me, and I don’t pretend to care about what he did. But then I don’t pretend to care about so called " traditional family values." There are people who do pretend to care who forgave Sanford, yet pitch a fit about Spitzer and Weiner. It’s the hypocrisy that bothers me, not the affairs or junk tweeting.

I stand corrected that Ariail did not remain completely silent on the issue. I tip my hat to you and your memory.
