Finding six shows I want to watch at the same time is no problem. All six shows I really want to watch for the whole year are guaranteed to be on at the exact same time with no repeats.
I was brought up to turn off the TV when guests arrive. (unless you have them over for a particular program – like Lord Stanley’s Cup or the Grey Cup, etc). The distractions are to be off so you can put all your attention on your guests. .

Most shows are very often repeated. I have 2 channel PVR and I’ve never had a problem missing some shows.
