Do I ever understand how he feels. Con myself in doing things for folks because they “love me and appreciate the things I do for them.” But I never get any real thanks for it. The thanks I get isn’t heart felt, it’s more done as an obligatory thanks to get me to keep conning myself in the hopes that they care. But deep down I know they don’t and could care less if I died or left. And yet despite that I keep doing it anyway.

This is so my cat Macushla. As much as I pet her, it’s never enough. She always wants more.
