So exactly how would transferring these people to the mainland solve any of the so-called moral issues of holding captured enemies without trial? Then the name of the new holding facility could become infamous to those who already hate us. And it would make it that much more convenient for the lawyers who are trying to free these people so they can go back to war against us as so many of the released prisoners have done. If we don’t have the stomach to continue holding them, then select a type of court to try them, try them, and live with the verdicts. This is an incredibly trivial issue to everyone except the people being held. The war in which they were fighting is still going on, by the way.
I’d say it’s more like the government tells us one thing and does something else – as they have been doing since the Reagan administration.
We have a majority of fascists on both sides of the aisle. Probably not the kind of majority any of us wants to see, or approves of, but it’s what we’ve got.
Until most of the country recognizes this fact, nothing will improve; things will just keep spiraling down..
it’s just part of the greedy bankers. The want constant war because they profit big time. How can you win a war on terror? It’s a concept, not a nation, a person or anything winnable.

Malapropos: I really like the drawing. I wonder how long it took him to draw out that fence.

Sharpen your crayon, Pat. That drawing of Obama is something a 4th grader draws.
