I don’t mind doing the laundry. I use my dryer for everything because I don’t iron. My husband has asked me before if I even remember how to iron! Smart a@@! The invention of wrinkle free was a wonderful thing! I do hang my towels and bedding out on the clothesline, and my curtains and drapes. Love that fresh smell!
The mindless activity that has a visible, productive result. After a day of extreme stress trying to creatively figure a way out of someone else’s political mess only to end up with an unsatisfactory result and no visible progress, things like laundry, dishes and yard work can be pretty cathartic.
I love hanging up and taking down the clothes. As others have said, they smell so good! Also, there’s no rush to get things out of the dryer before they wrinkle, and I can stack them in the basket in the order in which I’ll put them away. Nice mindless stuff to clear the brain.
I hate doing laundry and dishes. They are the tasks that must be done daily and are never finished. You can have every stitch of clothing and bedding clean, but at the end of the day, you have more dirty laundry. BTW, that glass you are drinking from is just one more dirty dish. Ahhhhh!
the only thing I like about laundry is when I am cold and take out a fresh warm sweater out of the dryer-mmm… I hate hanging stuff out. I don’t get that one at all. When we moved into a new house years ago and there was a clothes line I took it down and tossed it. :-p

Hanging them out to dry. Plus I get exercise and fresh air doing it. Doing laundry is waaaaaay better than dusting.
