I would say that a fulfilling job is one that you can’t wait to get to and one where you feel like you are making a difference. My jobs have been somewhat fulfilling. It was nice helping people solve their computer problems, but I got burned out quickly because it’s demanding and thankless.

I have this argument with myself all of the time. “More money or helping people?” “Can’t it be both?” “Not really!” Other than those little spats my alter egos get along pretty well with each other.

These days it’s more about the paycheck since a lot of people are having to settle for thankless jobs.

As an engineer I enjoy a well paying and (most of the time) fulfilling job. I had to beat my brains out in school – no partying! There are well paying, fulfilling jobs, but they require sacrifice and hard work to get into.
