“Homosexuality for some IS a choice, have known some who just got tired of the opposite sex”No, it isn’t. A homosexual is exclusively sexually attracted to members of the same sex. A heterosexual is someone who is exclusively sexually attracted to members of the opposite sex. You are thinking of bisexuals, who are attracted to both sexes in varying degrees.
There probably are a minority of gays that would want churches to be forced into having same sex marriages regardless of the churches beliefs, just as their were a minority of Christians that wanted us to go into Iraq to “make” those Muslims become Christians at the point of a gun (which turned out to be a total disaster for Christ and Christianity in the Middle East). But most gays have no desire to have anything but civil unions that grant them the same civil rights as heterosexual marriage does. After the way that many so called Christian churches seem to want to treat gays they are generally very heavy duty supporters of the separation of church and state as implied in the first amendment to the constitution. It is admittedly possible that the minority of a minority that want to force same sex marriages on churches is a very vocal minority, but they are still a minority of an already minority, and have no real power even with gays themselves. So your premise is simply incorrect.

You cannot be a rational person and vote Republican, because you’re supporting people like that ignoramus, and even though there are some adults in the GOP, they’re too cowardly to stand up to this idiocy.
For those who believe the issue is one of Government infringing on the prerogative of Religion, what about those churches which are already performing same-sex marriage ceremonies which their States do not legally recognize? Who has the authority to make them stop? Government? Other churches? Should the States be obligated to recognize a same-sex marriage that was performed in a church?

Actually completely agree with you. The only issue should be if same-sex marriages want to happen within a religion that expressly excludes it.
It’s a rather unreasonable insistence to want to change explicit expressions in texts that are thousands of years old.
