Only someone with stunning ignorance would think that poor people get more from the government than the rich.

The only inaccuracy I can see is that in reality he’d have the poor peel the eggs before giving them to the rich.

The government has no money it doesn’t steal from people who are productive and profit.

you got it wrong again if anything it is the lazy that is getting everything and the middle class and the rich are paying. Example how many people pd 2million dollars. it would take 100 people paying 20 grand in taxes to equal that amt. No I am not of of the rich just middle class

Nope. The rich use of the resources we build — whether highways, airports, seaways, water, sewer, electricity — and pay considerably less of their income due to dubious tax laws (like the Bain tax exemption that Romney got through when he was there which interpreted his private equity non-job-creating income as “capital gains,” which it isn’t); those who own big businesses — not small ones, which really drive the economy — get tax breaks and the ability to use national land for a pittance (it’s called “corporate welfare”). Welfare done properly allows people to get educated, find a job, and add to the economy. Hence the Small Business Administration, the GI Bill, Pell Grants have done vast amounts for our economy and our nation. But the GOP would cut all those things, and REALLY create an inescapable class of poverty. Why do you think some of the GOP wants to allow “Guest workers?” Because those are essentially indentured servants with no rights, who (have to) work cheap!

My taxes would soar under Ryan’s plan — assuming that he balances the budget as he says he would. He’s scared to say how he would balance it, for exactly that reason.

Don’t forget to give him the bowl too. He thinks he’s entitled to it. Oh, and the kids clothes too, he want’s them.

Try reading the bill before you make any comments! Look what happend when Nancy Pelosi passed the bill before reading it. If the Dems would decide to work and not condem other efforts, we might get somewhere.

Well, I’d bet that poor people are receiving more from the govt. than their giving. The poor only take.The rich pay the bulk of taxes… when liberals say the rich get the most from the govt. what they’re really saying is, they get a little less taken out of their taxes. The rich people (from the liberal code book: anyone working for a living) pay the bills, sending money to the liberal govt that gives it to the poor who don’t/won’t work… why should they? as long as the govt will pay them not to.

Apparently, Luckovich believes that the GOP hates the rich. Why else would he show the GOP dumping a fatal dose of high-cholesterol eggs down the throat of the Rich?

IT is the poor he hates, of course! I can’t comprehend why there are so many people who support the GOP, knowing how likely it happens that they too are vulnerable to poverty if something like a major illness, a serious car accident, floods, fires, tornados, hurricanes, the death of a parent or child or any number of other things that might happen. If you fgo deaf, the US does not help out with hearing aide.So why do so many people like giving huge tax breaks toa rich few that they will Never be part of while the GOP throws higher taxes at you?Is it because a few people (those lazy bums who don’t have jobs/pay any taxes/ cheat on “welfare”) so you don’t care if the genuinely needy go without? My senator is taking 36 billion away from food programs. Some folks (including kids) already don’t have enough to eat. Be glad it’s not your child who has to eat every other night so his brother can also eat!

30 or so years ago workers got yearly wages, back when CEO’s made 44 times what workers made. Now CEO’s make 350 times what workers made. when is the last time you got a raise?
