Thomas Jefferson to James Madison, October 18, 1785:“But the consequences of this enormous inequality producing so much misery to the bulk of mankind, legislators cannot invent too many devices for subdividing property … [ One ] means of silently lessening the inequality of property is to exempt all from taxation below a certain point, and to tax the higher portions of property in geometrical progression as they rise.”
Quick, please define what a Communist is? Can’t do it can you. Your comment is just a bunch name calling, drivel and reactionary right wing talking points.
The ignorance of most US citizens amazes me. By andy rational standard President Obama is a right centrist. The GOP are either greedy or insane, with very few exceptions.
You sir, clearly don’t know history. Trying to compare Obama right of Reagan is the latest laughable excuse to get away with ruining the economy and you low information voters keep swallowing it hook line and sinker. And I don’t need Fox News. I can think for myself and can see clearly what Obama’s doing. You tho can’t wait to see Jay Carney’s latest spewing of lies.
I don’t see the situation as Mr Times. President Obama isn’t actually looking for a compromise. It is as if he believes that all he has to do is smile and give good speeches and the people will line up behind him and follow. I miss the days that politicians pursued win-win situations.

Obama’s too close to the center. He’s the MOST Liberal Left President to ever occupy the White House!

Ever hear of Theodore Roosevelt? Now that is a real liberal (and Republican)! Now if only Obama could be half the liberal that Teddy was.

‘any’ not ‘andy’, though I’m sure Andy Rational (whoever he is) has standards :-)

OMG! Obama should be clear off the left side of the page. Liberals are so delusional. . . to the degree of certifiable mental illness.
