Within the joke of this strip is, sadly, probably the most accurate depiction of young girlhood I’ve ever seen in a Luann strip. I think it’s tragic at how early an age girls feel so bad about their physical appearance that they feel they shouldn’t even be seen in public until they reach some unattainable level of perfection.
Forget all that. Go to the pool just to have fun. Aquire some tan, even a light burn. You’ll stress less and be better looking. Guys like girls who are fun to be with.
Does anyone know when the strip of Luann ran when they had graduated high school and it looked like one of them was president and the other two were standing behind her. Maybe Secret Service Agents, I’m not sure. Thanks!!
