It's so perfect, everyone else is going to get her the same thing...It's so perfect, she probably already got it for herself. It's too perfect. I need something that says I know her so well, that I can move past the cliché of the "perfect" gift. I need a gift that's beyond perfect...Something that no one else would ever think of for a part of her she may not even know exists......And I will not stop searching until I find it!! “Travel Tea Pot”? Really?

I have a collapsible travel tea pot (actually, a travel tea kettle), and it is wonderful. I’ve been in too many hotel rooms where someone used the hotel tea kettle to make oatmeal or baby food and left the residue behind, often solidified into concrete.
And, supposedly, some weird people “wash” their underwear by boiling it in the hotel kettle. That I do not understand.

Reminds me of the comedian whose mother does not believe in gift cards. Every year, she buys him an expensive, useless gift and then he has to return it. Yes, every year she gifts him with a tedious, after-Christmas chore. :)

There is a little truth to this. My daughter’s friend asked us for a set of Harry Potter books for her birthday. We got them for her, but so did her uncle. Luckily, it wasn’t the only thing we got her. And my older daughter will have her own set instead of borrowing mine.
