While I buy the $9 t-shirts, there is sometimes a quality difference between the two. Also I try to buy goods made in the USA, and the company that sells shirts that are 100% made in the USA (from growing the cotton to sewing them in the US in good working conditions) has their basic t-shirts for $40 (premium is $50). So while that’s not $175 (which I would never pay for), there are sometimes differences in t-shirts. However, in most cases people are paying for the designer name on the label. That aside, I don’t think a $9 t-shirt is contributing to the “slovenliness” of America. There are many other things contributing to that, haha.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Tuesday! Have a great day, all!
A few years ago, I was looking at purses in a department store, and I came across a mostly plastic see-through purse made by a famous brand. They were selling it for almost $300, and I asked a sales person if it was a joke. She told me that women were actually buying them, and I was rendered speechless. “A fool and his [or her] money are soon parted.”
At $9 quality really isn’t an issue – you can by a whole lot of them for $175 so if they wear out fast or fall apart you will always have another one to wear.
Yea! Just came home from getting my 3rd Covid vaccination. Now if I don’t feel like doing anything I can blame it on the vaccine. Hope everyone is having a fantastic day.

The difference is $166. Other than that, they’re identical.

I suppose it is the difference between child labor and slave labor.

I’d love to know where I can buy a “good quality” $9.00 tee!

For me, a T-shirt is a T-shirt is a T-shirt—generally speaking. For Cathy, on the other hand …
