As we learned with “The Kings New Clothes”, the best clothes that money can buy are not necessarily the “best” clothes we can get.

The clothes STARTED out pretty nice, and ended up weird. Some of them.

LOVE the credit card reference in panel two.

I’ll take the cotton blouse, the green cardigan, and the seersucker blazer. Bag it!

I’m just sticking with my jeans and tops right now. Although I need to get some knee-length shorts for the warmer weather. Also, I’d like to get some casual dresses for the summer just to shake things up.

Leggings and tunic tops, jeans and T-shirts.

The list of clothes started simple, but then it snowballed into [eye-roll[ proportions. AACK.

Aaaaaak! The sunshine has been falling in big fluffy flakes that have now covered everything. All that beautiful green grass gone. Fortunately it is still a couple of degrees above freezing so it will melt soon. Good day to stay inside and read comics.

Cathy already has plenty of what I call REAL “girl next door clothes” with all the dresses, shorts and tracksuits she wears when she’s not at work. But when it comes to a shopaholic clotheshorse like her, “plenty” is apparently nowhere near enough or she wouldn’t be at the mall looking to buy more. It’s no wonder she’s always “broke”! :-/
