ALL pictures of me are hideous ones! I really take a bad picture. My driver’s license picture is sooooo bad, I dare not get pulled over by the police. I would have to show it to them. Even the DMV lady who takes the pictures, suggested we try and get a better one. She kept snapping, and they keep showing up…well, hideous. We gave up.
I think you can only effectively throw things away when you are feeling bad. For some reason getting rid of stuff when I am mad or sad is easier. I may regret it later, but for a little while I have room for new stuff.
In a weird way, Cathy’s logic actually works here—in my book, anyway. We all need a boost now and then, and a dreadful old photo might, by comparison, do the trick. Might. Or not …
