Huh. Silly though it is, I guess Hallmark really DOES make a card for everyone, everything and every occasion! ;-)

    Hi, rgcviper! :-)

    .

Hello and Happy Tuesday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope everyone has a really great day today! :-)

Valentines day is all about all the candy. Just try giving your loved on a simple card and a kiss. You’ll be sleeping on the couch until you find a humdinger of a spider to kill.

Valentines Day is a scam by Hallmark, the candy companies, the flower companies etc…My wife knows how I feel about her, I tell her every day.

Cathy is over the top, as always. We usually skip the occasion, but this year my hubby got me the perfect gift – the new Fantastic Beasts movie (squee!)

Ugh, I hate the way this comic portrays women as crazy loonies. It’s fine if it just shows Cathy as nutty, but all of us? Leave me out of this. First of all, I don’t give mixed messages – I’m as direct as they come. And I definitely don’t do bizarre stuff like send valentines to or from odd things, especially inanimate objects. I might send one from the cats to my daughters, but they all love each other so I think that’s fine. So far, this week of Cathy is cringy!

Hello Cathy friends! Happy Tuesday! Speaking of cringy, I was asked this morning to volunteer at Lil’s school to monitor lunch for an hour and give the teachers a break. Since it was last minute, she wasn’t expecting me and was MORTIFIED to see me there. It was the stereotypical “don’t talk to me! pretend like you don’t know me! don’t even come near me!”. It was hilarious. As she ran away, I called after her “I LOVE YOU!!” Hahaha!! Totally gets her back for the snarky comments and eye rolls that I get on a regular basis (rgcviper, your eye rolls are totally fine bc they’re not directed at me in a teenagery “I’m so annoyed by you, mo-om” way :-)) Now my husband wants to go next time, haha! Have a great day, all!

My husband bought valentine candy for me only once the first year we were married. Never would again, so I bought my own. That man had very little sentiment. So my birthday, Mother’s day, Christmas any day that required a gift, I would buy something expensive and say “oh dawlin, you shouldn’t have.”He never seemed to have caught on.

My husband and I give each other cards, try to go to dinner someplace nice, and go to the Folky Valentine Show at the Ark (folk music).
